Gary was the kindest gentleman I have ever met. Gary never stopped smiling and I am sure he still is. Grimes also starred in the sequel Class of '44 (1973), which followed his character to college.

We WILL meet again; so Gary, keep playing, keep smiling, and one more thing, my friend - "PUMP THAT BASS" ( it's an "in-joke" that only Gary and a few of us share) "All My Loving" to Gary, Suzy, Michelle, Mike and the entire Grimes family - as well as Mark, Tom, Jimmy, Bob, Greg, Terry and John. 1964 and the world will not be the same without him.
My heart goes out to his family. We met several times through mutual muscian friends. I first met Gary when I was about 15 or so.
Suzy,Michelle and Mike, I am so sorry for the loss of Gary. The great thing about this band and about Gary was that it wasn't just a business relationship we had with them.
