Nagoya is 14.9 miles from Telunas Private Island, while Batam Center is 14.3 miles away. We we escorted the entire time by their helpful staff.

The older two run around the island like Eloise in the Plaza - they know the staff, play games with them, chat with them, sing with them. “Kids Kampung” may only be small but my kids loved spending time here. coming up to the property feels like you're stumbling upon some hidden treasure that seems much further away from singapore than it really is. They are safe, happy, and have a sense of independence we can't always offer them in a city setting.

The balcony is completely secluded and the only view is out to sea and across to the Telunas Beach Resort. Just becareful for the mosquitos at night. Although the espresso machine was still being set up while we were there, we appreciated the choice of different Indonesian coffees for plunger coffee.

The staffs were really helpful when they knew I could not sleep well due to the mosquitos. Reached in just over two hours by boat from Singapore, you can leave the gadgets and pressures of daily life behind and enter a calming, WiFi-free, tech-free world. Kitchen will cook dishes according to our individual preferences.

May you have a wonderful first year of marriage and you are definitely most welcome back anytime. There are several one-of-a-kind getaways accessible by water from Singapore, but few are as easy as Telunas Private Island. I was also impressed by all the little touches that demonstrate that a lot of thought had gone into the rooms, such as the multi-regional adaptors in the sockets (how many large international hotels can’t even get this right?!) We continue to visit Telunas because our young children (6, 5, and 2) are so happy here. An excellent spa over the waters is to die for.

To get from Singapore to Telunas resort you first need to take the BatamFast ferry from Harbourfront Ferry Terminal in Singapore to Sepukang in Batam, Indonesia.

We were warmly greeted by English speaking staff members upon arriving at Batam ferry terminal and they escorted us to the local ferry for our journey to the resort. Telunas Resorts actually consists of 2 accommodation types - Telunas Beach and Telunas Private Island - both of which are a 5-minute boat ride away from one another.Telunas Beach Resort on Sugi Island offers the more economical option, with three choices of rooms set on stilts over the sea. The beach was beautiful and during that weekend, deserted except for the few staff on hand and my. Dinner features a choice of western main dishes, with the menu changing daily.

With the option to rent the whole place for ourselves, we had the entire beach with no one else to bother us. Food was great and served in reasonable portions. The 15 Telunas Private Island villas branch out on stilts over the water, resembling a local water village or kampung. I'll be sure to let Della know that you sent a special shout out to her. If you are looking for somewhere to completely relax and unwind, then Telunas Private Island is the perfect option for you. I was a little worried about having enough snacks but the food was pretty filling and they have fruits and banana chips you can help yourself to in between meals. But there was also plenty to do.
