I purchased this book to start "rapidly" getting up to speed on React. He goes slowly and explains each concept thoroughly so the reader doesn't get confused. However, keep in mind there are concepts that you will need to go more into depth about. Talk about getting off to a good start! One difference here is that he starts with the very minimal things you need to know, explains those, and then expands to something a little more complex in the next chapter.

It's great for beginners, and also advanced users.
The book helps clarify and build a good fundamental grasp of React. You're a natural teacher man, and thank you for this one! My background - ASP.NET professional for seven years and counting and the only UI framework I work with professionally is Razor (I had a cup of coffee with Knockout.js and Angular but no real knowledge). I am a big reader and this is by far the best information on learning React that I've found. I don't even remember the last time I reviewed a book. Shouldn't matter that much for a tech book, but then again we ARE talking about the view layer here! A really good read on React with lots of real world examples.
