Great, when was the last time we managed to get a window seat? Loved it and would highly recommend.
We didn't return until about six years later for a Valentine's supper. The incomparable setting of Chart House matches the incomparable prices of the restaurant. I had a chance to sit next to the window and enjoyed a great view of Malibu Beach. *This restaurant has closed. Food was mediocre.
Worst service we've ever experienced – We had 3:30 reservations on a Sunday afternoon but got there an hour plus early. Our service was AWFUL, and came with a free side of attitude. We both woke up at 4-5 AM with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, alternating chills & sweats, and completely achy body...JUST TERRIBLE! Chart House rests on the cliffs of Malibu, right at the ocean’s edge. High quality food and service.... We reserved a table a week ahead for our 31st anniversary. I?d say this place is really mismanaged!

Nice! We asked the staff when we arrived for a window table, they said the wait would be 10 minutes and that we would get the next window table. The servers were all polite and especially when we told them we had a the "prix fixe" offer instead of the usual second class treatment you get as soon as you announce that you "have a coupon" :-) However, the view along with expertly prepared meals makes the hit not hurt as badly. I am a 26 year Tahoe resident and have been to the Chart House numerous times.
Prices: The food was great. My entree included Salmon, Fish w/ Mash Potatoes and for dessert I had the Chocolate Lava Cake. The crab-stuffed avocado was fab! Not for me anymore. great for a 70th birthday celebration – We took my fiancées father there for his 70th birthday. The Scene: Owners are there 24/7 and clearly makes the difference.... The staff was excellent, the location was perfect. Cocktails & Cuisine:
– My husband and I were impressed with the decoration and atmosphere.
Never expected to leave a restaurant raving about a potato. Their surf (lobster) and turf (filet) is unbelievable. It was not until 5 day later that we were both back to feeling completely well. The view was the best part of the pricey dinner.
After this horrible experience I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. So we decided to leave.
We were told that a table would be forthcoming.
After appetizers in bar...we still waited.
