"A primary factor is erosion and flood stabilization work needed along the approximately 35 kilometres of the rail bed adjacent to Sicamous Narrows, Mara Lake, Rosemond Lake, and the Shuswap River," says the Shuswap Trail Alliance. "You feel them, then your delay time, next thing you know you gaffed them by the tail and away you go," said Hume, laughing. "The changes in size are really driven by the fish being younger than they were in the past," said Westley. Earlier this year, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District began an upgrade at the Salmon Arm Landfill to address longstanding issues with long lineups and wait times.
