Yeah, the price was dumb, but that's two years of improved performance. Actually, many of us might be rejoicing, because now we can upgrade without having to spend another 1200 bucks. If i still had a group of friends on pc I played with like back then I would have probably upgraded sooner but everyone I play multi with are on xbox.
But I did enjoy every game maxed out and I experienced RTX for the first time.
